Location: Fort Casey State Park, Coupeville
The fun and frights are back this year at Fort Casey! Every weekend this month Fort Casey Historical State Park and the Keepers of Admiralty Head Lighthouse are presenting Fright at Fort Casey.
Fort Casey is an old military fort on Whidbey Island. Built by soldiers to defend Puget Sound against invading ships, its pop-up guns could rain shells down on unfortunate vessels. The dark powder and shell magazines are scary enough on a summer’s day. Imagine what they’re like during the spooky Halloween season!
Open the last two weekends of October from noon to 4pm.
Event entrance fee is $5 per person; children’s game area is free. Proceeds go toward restoration projects at Admiralty Head Lighthouse. Discover Pass required for parking.
