Location: Whidbey Island
The Whidbey Gardening Workshop welcomes you to two days of focused classes, themed sessions, hands-on learning, and a gardening marketplace.
The Workshop provides a platform to develop new skills and discover the many healthful benefits of gardening. Explore the critical connections between the soil, the bugs, the plants, and sustainable practices. Learn to mix ornamentals and edibles while creating a four-season pollinator habitat. Now in its 34th year, the Workshop is produced and presented by the Island County Master Gardener Foundation and features horticultural experts from around the region.
- Friday, March 3 – Select from among six interactive field trips and learn first-hand from experts on and around Whidbey Island.
- Saturday, March 4 – Following the keynote by Donna Balzer, you’ll be able to choose from 28 Focused Classes or attend one or two of three Themed Sessions, each featuring 3 horticultural experts sharing their perspectives on a related topic.
- Also on Saturday, a Garden Marketplace will offer an inspiring collection of garden-related items and activities.
