The much-anticipated Whidbey Island Marathon is back in 2023. With picturesque ocean views and tranquil farmland, the full marathon and half marathon courses promise to be scenic from country back roads to waterfront coastlines, snow-capped mountains and rolling hills.

The Salish Sea Series has turned international. Your favorite road races have combined to provide the best running series in the northwest!

We’re excited to announce that the Royal Victoria Marathon (October 6-8, 2023) will now become the fourth member of the series, which already includes the Whidbey Island Marathon (April 23, 2023), Capital City Virtual Marathon (May 20 & 21, 2023) and North Olympic Discovery Marathon (June 3 & 4, 2023) to create the Salish Sea Road Race Series.

In 2022 and beyond participants may participate in the series either virtually or in-person to qualify and can choose any distance and as many events as they’d like to participate to earn their swag!
